New feature: Tag rooms and people with # and @

We've just rolled out a couple of new features to make conversations flow better and help you connect with the right people and spaces. Tagging rooms with # You can now tag specific support rooms in your posts using the # symbol. For example, if you're in #Just talking but want to reference something from #Benefits, PIP & appeals or point someone towards #Kit, chairs & adaptations, you can tag it and it'll create a direct link. This makes it easier to cross-reference conversations and point people towards relevant spaces without losing your train of thought. Some examples: #Just diagnosed — for linking new members to that space #care-carers-hospital — when discussing support options #Work, uni & school — for employment and education questions #Benefits, PIP & appeals — for funding and benefits discussions #Kit, chairs & adaptations — for equipment and accessibility Tagging people with @ You can now mention specific community members using the @ symbol — for example, @Matthew Brain . When you tag someone, they'll get a notification that you've mentioned them, which helps make sure they see your message if it's relevant to them. It's a good way to ask someone a direct question or continue a conversation with them specifically. please don't tag someone without there permission or the topic directly applies to them. How to use them: Type # followed by the room name (autocomplete will help) Type @ followed by someone's username (autocomplete will help here too) Both create clickable links that help keep the community connected These features are live now across all support rooms and discussion spaces. Let us know if you run into any issues or have feedback on how they're working. Cheers,
